Hi, I need some help as far translation and text. My grandfather is from Croatia and I am very close to him. Recently, I decided to get a tattoo and I would like it to be in Croatian. I was wondering what the direct translation of the phrase "I have faith in God" would be. Also, I would like to get the tattoo done in glagolitic script. Any suggests or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I have faith in God = U Boga vjerujem. You can also say "vjerujem u Boga", but "u Boga vjerujem" would be much better in this case for a number of reasons, just take my word for it. There are two kinds of glagoljica (glagolitic script), uglata (cuneiform) and obla (rounded). Uglata was used more often and you can find a text in it in Zagreb's cathedral for ex., but obla is prettier in my opinion. Here is a website where you can get a direct translation from Latin script into glagolitic script, just type U Boga vjerujem where it says "utipkaj tekst" and click on "prevedi". www.senj.hr/Glagoljica.htmOr do it yourself, you can find both uglata and obla glagoljica here: fly.srk.fer.hr/~zox/glagoljica.html
