- Croatia need not worry about England taking it easy against Ukraine on Saturday despite having already qualified for the World Cup finals, coach Fabio Capello said on Friday.
With eight wins from eight matches in Group Six, England are guaranteed to finish top but Croatia and Ukraine are battling it out for runners-up spot and a place in a two-legged playoff against one of the other second-placed nations.
On a CRO forum someone said this morning that an Englishman's promise is not worth a dog's spit. Well, I do not know?

This is incorrect, very rude and secondly Capello is not English!

It should read bull dogs spit, which I may add might be a bit more deadly then a kuna’s spit. Either way, whoever originally said the comment is barking made.

Oops... Poor Croatia. No world cup The Ukraine simply has to beat part timers Andorra on Wednesday, Andorra have lost every game, scored only 3 goals in 9 games and conceded 33. Oh well...

Croatia left it too late, it is not a fore gone conclusion that they will get a result in Kazakhstan anyway.

Ukraine won by 1:0, thanks to England we are not going to South Africa! No wonder that some from the HR-team were getting well-sozzled already last night , then ? "Thanks to England" , or could it be : 'cause they actually , mostly , all are quite useless ( especially : if/after you've watched Deutschland vs. Russia , earlier )?

Ukraine won by 1:0, thanks to England we are not going to South Africa! He's right but it's more because we spanked Croatia twice... Revenge is sweet. I still remember getting smart ass sms messages 2 years ago from Gavin (Gmh) when England missed out on the Euros. I never did found out how he got my number... but as only two people had it wouldn't take much guessing

Winston, Croatia beat England fairly and honestly, and England saw that Croatia is out of the World Cup not in an ethical way. But else we could expect from England?

Having seen a few recent qualification matches , incl. NL , Chile , yesterday's Germany's antics on plastic "grass" of ex-Lenin Stadium ...IMHO , the current HR-team wouldn't get far amongst such serious and focused competion , even if by some krazy fluke they did somehow still get to visit the Rainbow Nation .

Winston, Croatia beat England fairly and honestly, and England saw that Croatia is out of the World Cup not in an ethical way. But else we could expect from England? What on earth are you talking about? England we're playing with 10 men for 80 minutes away to Ukraine... that's a very tough game and we gave it everything, of course it was difficult for us. We still nearly got a draw at the end. If you seriously think England lost on purpose because they didn't want Croatia to qualify, you're nuts. The only people responsible for Croatian not qualifying is Croatian players and the Manager.

Hey Boris I have a real conspiracy theory for you. Ukraine we're awarded a penalty, there's no question it was a penalty... but the Ref had no idea who had committed the foul and was intending to send off Rio Ferdinand until the linesman informed him it was the keeper and quickly sent him off. Most refs would have shown a yellow card as it was not an intentional foul and there were defenders around the ball. However this Ref couldn't wait to send off an England player, which meant England would struggle to win and Croatia would go out. What's your point ... I hear you say... Well the ref's name is Damir Skomina and he is SLOVENIAN. SLOVENIAN kicked Croatia out of the world cup
