In the Croatian Times it said that the government was considering increasing VAT on milk, bread and medicines in order to increase their income.
That is totally insane! Why increase pensions and then take it away by making staple foods and medicine more expensive?
Why can't they even consider lowering expenses instead of trying to increase income the whole time?

This headline in the week that the same paper are reporting Croatia are looking to import their raw milk from abroad instead of sourcing it locally ......
"Instead of undertaking measures to help Croatia’s producers, the firms want to import 80 million litres of raw milk, Resetar says.
"Considering that there isn’t enough milk either in the EU or its surroundings, it is clear that the raw milk will be imported from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, where they do not need to follow EU norms or have adequate control in the labs," says Resetar, who gives the dairy firms three days to organize an urgent meeting and find a solution to the dairy crisis."
