I am surprised that CRO media is very excited about the wedding. Also some Croats are flying to London to be there during the event.
Should we also pay more attention to this event?

Who can say, but as a British citizen I believe I should be given the day off so I can join in the celebration of my royal family, even if only on TV...
Croats have (in my experience) always been quite excited about the British royals and aristocracy. I think they find it all as amusing as they find it fascinating, and there's no argument that this wedding is going to be an epic spectacle.

I think a lot of countries around the world feel guilty that they either killed or banished their Royals. In Croatia's case their Royals never really got a sure foothold after the Middle Ages, so perhaps its a little bit of nostalgia and wishful thinking creeping in.

Well, Croatia lay claim to Marco Polo, who went and discovered China, who today have run the rest of us out of business. So, who can I blame? The Italians or the Croatians?

"A day off"?? Yeah, me too I may even tune in on ye olde TV What day is the wedding, as I want to demand my rights to take the day off... or it will be my "right" to protest. Anyone know if anyone is doing anything on the day in Zagreb? Maybe I should call the Embassy. We can close of a street in Zagreb (how about Illica), put up some union jacks, bunters, break out some British kegs of beer, sing the national anthem (think I remember the first line), not to forget my union jack t-shirt. Ok, just to ad, I called British Embassy and no official events other then an in-house reception (and I didn't get invited), otherwise I guess it's "make your own party" at your local (maybe buy everyone a drink or two) and you might get away with it.

This is nice, when is the wedding? Just found out it's tomorrow. Guess it will be an impromptu celebration. Raise the flag, be proud and tell everyone I'm British (about the only day I dare). At all other times I'm the enemy (just kidding).

Well I gave myself the day off and it was worth it, what great spectacle of pageantry it was.
Made the hairs on my neck tingle and brought a tear to my eye. Only the British can do this sort of thing properly, makes me proud of my history.
Such a public outpouring of genuine patriotism, just what the UK needs at the moment.
Congratulations to the royal couple.

Congratulations to the royal couple. Was great, although I had 1 meeting and the person was 1 hour late. Got home just in time to see the 2 kisses, then everything went blank on my TV. Did I forget to pay T-com, is my MAX-tv contract up, did to many people turn on their TV and over load Max-TV? Been trying to call t-com, and all I get is a message. Anyone experience this: Right now it's 3:20 pm and I'm feeling cheated. By the way, both my phone and internet are working, just Max-TV on the blink.

No reason to be euphoric really, for those people watching it is just another episode of their favourite (mexican, spanish, etc) soap opera. ;D It is those kind of people only who are interested in this.
