Hey guys
Can someone give me a bit of help on how to write shall in Croatian?
ok, some examples: I shall collect the laundry later
You shall not pass
He shall be made king tomorrow
If this is one of those words that change depending on the context, could you please give me some examples
Thanks in advance

Try the ordinary future form, like "æu" or "hoæu". Like " Da, oprat æu veš (rublje :lol) kasnije".

Trebao / trebala /trebal... (whichever appropriate) bi / bismo / biste etc... ? I'm guessing that's when you use it in English, not 100% sure because of my lacking English skills. You can't use it for "you shall not pass" because that's an order or a threat. Someone from the north would say "Ne buš prošao ovuda" ;D but that's local dialect, correct would probably be "Nećeš proći ovuda", simple future. So, it does depend on the context. I would only use "trebati" in the last example, like: "Trebao bi biti okrunjen sutra", because it doesn't depend on you whether it happens. Therefore use simple future in your first example see nazif's answer. Or maybe I just mixed "shall" with "should", then forget about the verb "trebati".

Maybe we could make the message stronger with an adverb? Like "uistinu" or "stvarno"? "Ne, doista neæeš proæi ovuda!" However, it all really depends on the context...

Shall is a fairly outdated word in English and is interchangible with will. I'd say ću/če/češ (chew/che/chesh) would be a good translation.
