I would be curious to hear mh's position after reading Gwen's update.
Yes, T-Mobile would have the ability to see what websites were visited during that period if necessary. Who know though, they could have been playing video games or something.
It's unfortunate that they trashed the place. At least you got them out of there before they could do more damage.

Bravo Gwen, that must have been a stressful confrontation and all credit to you that you stood up for yourself. I am sorry you lost out on the rental and suffered a bit of damage. There is one result, you will probably have an anti-Bosnian policy for future rentals and, if you do, don't worry about it. You cannot ignore your experience and if that is construed as anything anti-social, then so be it. Could you imagine going through it again?

Did you see any deliveries being made while they were there? Was the place being used as a "drop" address?

Dirty linen, lot's of computer and electronic gear, closed shutters Live streaming .,.,.,.,.,.,. maybe You did well to get rid of them by the sound of it. I don't think you can have a no Bosnians rule just based on this one group though. I know a lot of nice well behaved Bosnians. I think you should be able to log into your router as administrator and check a log of what sites they've visited.

I would be curious to hear mh's position after reading Gwen's update. Maybe they carried out a cyber attack on vital intelligence infrastructure!! I m sure the Eshalon got everything recorded and the CIA agents will be there soon ... My notes are: 1. bad customer service, not explaining house rules - Croatian tourism is mostly family oriented and tourist boards should do more on customer education. The dispute ended up loose-loose. Finding additional accomodation emphasised as "remarkable achievement" - should be a standard, not "extra mile" 2. Inadequte entertainment program, healthy activities etc. Croatiais well known for being lovely but extremely boring 3. Over crowded and built areas - who on this planet wants to share 1m2 of beach with at least another person or two. 4. Terrible weather, if I am there I would close the shutters as well and spend my time indoors. I am sure the health professionals will tell you the same. Want more?

want more?
One relevant to the point would be a start.
Anyway, this is an argument going nowhere. Welcome to the board mh, stick around and give your point of view. The more the merrier.

Oh come on regulars, you're missing some points here. I'm not involved with the tourist industry here, but... 1. house rules are laid out on a website at the time of booking and it is a guests responsibilty to know them, just as it is a foreigners responsibilty to know the road rules of any foreign country they drive in. 2.I agree there is inadequate entertainment during the tourist season, but there certainly is no lack of healthy activities you can perform. Swimming, walking, mountain climbing, cycling, kayaking, are just a few hat come to mind. 3. 1m2 of beach is never shared by 4 people unless they are all babies or the smallest midgets in the world. 4. Terrible weather ? This one has me wondering if you have ever been to Croatia in the summer. We had perfect weather for 3 months this year. very little rain, very few days of excessive high temperatures. If you don't like sunshine, you've chosen the wrong destination. European health professionals will tell you to get a good dose of sun in the summer while you can. In moderation of course. mh, I'm starting to think you've been registered here under another name before. If you live in Croatia, good luck !

you are with most routers supplied by say t-com to include certain words or sites that you don't want guests to access. I say more words then sites.

It is not directly relevant to this thread, but we have a booklet for each apartment, It lists services available, information about local area and house rules. It is in multiple languages. As part of check in this is gone through with each guest. It is also sent out to guests at the time of booking.
It was not easy to find accommodation for the extra guests in a seaside town during the height of summer rental. Apartments are booked months in advance and the guests wanted to stay in the same village.
