I hope someone can help me with a single word translation. I've received a quote to sand and revarnish an old parquet floor. However there is a single word that I can't find a translation for
Å tukavanje
It 'translates' as pike fish but I'm pretty sure that's not the use in this case !!! Any help appreciated.

Indeed Stuka is a fresh water fish however in this context its not a pike. My Croatian wife thinks that it maybe something to do with parquet floor jointing......like tounged and grooved ?

Closest meaning would be: to emboss, remove the surface part it really depends on material you are working with, in this case parquet floor

Maybe its the pattern of the parquetry. For instance Herringbone.

My boss thinks the context may be about doing more, extending from the previous plan....
