Does anyone have any experience of closing down a Croatian company that has no purpose anymore? (It was for a business that has not traded for 3 or 4 years.)
I keep paying annual modest accountancy fees but it will never be needed. The cost to officially close this is 5,000 Kuna.
I have heard that if you sever contact with your accountant and they report that, then a process of "abandonment" will begin that costs nothing.
Very little turns out cheaply with no consequences in my experience so I thought I would see if anyone has tried this process?

My accountant tells me the same story but, like you, I have a healthy skepticism that it will come back to bite me at some future point. I too am very interested if anyone here has chapter and verse on this.
