I hear that on Ciovo / around Trogir the beaches are relatively quiet - despite the heatwave - and that its still easy to find spaces car parks.
What about other parts of Dalmatia and Istria? Has anyone been to Dubrovnik, Pag or Krka recently?

Same as the last few season. never believe the hype.... Pula, Rovinj, Medulin busy, but most tourists are on special offers from hotel and airline companies or on coach trips and not using , or spending at local shops, cafes etc.
More apartments, villas and house for rent than ever before. ALL owners saying down on bookings. July and August all full.
All local tourist agencies saying the same thing. beaches are relatively quite, mainly locals until 4th July when the rest of Europe start arriving.
If the government got their finger out, planned for the future instead of this afternoon, and trying to make a quick buck then they could easily extend the season. April, very nice..tourism empty. may really nice,, tourism, barely above empty. June, Fantastic, tourist a few. September fantastic,, tourist, a few for the first 2 weeks.

Split is heaving, Jelsa was busier in January - seriously. Worst season since the war (and probably during it). Dalmatia in general busy, but Hvar quieter all over.
