I have just read in today's edition of Total Croatia News ( article by Vedran Pavlic) that the arrangements are currently being put in place for the implementation of this tax according to an article in today's Vecernji List. If past experience is anything to go by it will be a bureaucratic nightmare and implemented within a very short timescale ,with little prior communicati. Does anyone have access to,or can obtain from contacts) the actual forms being issued in the Basics and Daruvar areas ( the pilot areas for implementation) so that I can begin to pull together the appropriate documentation required to enable me to provide an informed response to my local authority when such a request comes. I currently pay an annual holiday home tax, local community charges and a fee to Cistoca for bin collection. Does this new tax replace all of these and does anyone have access to the formula that will be applied? I appreciate it is early days in relation to this tax but bitter previous experience has taught me to prepare well in advance when dealing with Croatian bureaucracy..Hence my plea for help. I appreciate it will be long journey but would be glad to receive and share any information that will assist in this process. Essentially what is required is a step by step guide to what is required in terms of documentation and guidance on the formula..Essentially a "guide for dummies" Don't know if anybody has the time or contacts to put this together, but any information or guidance would be appreciated.

I doubt anyone is in a position to help just yet. Our customers pay tourist tax instead of komulnalna naknada, who knows how they will affected. It seems that land without a habitable building may escape.
