House renovation or build a new house?

My husband and I found a house in a good location but the interior needs a lot of work and we are not sure how much it would cost us. We are torn between buying this house and renovate it or just build a house from scratch.

Do you have ideas how much renovations cost nowadays and/or building a house?

Hi there. I’m new to this pro board. I actually found it through google, searching the same topic as your original. I can’t afford a new property, so I will settle for buying a project property needing renovation. Did you decide to build new or renovate? I’m not sure how to price out materials and where to shop.
