I have started a new thread as, for some reason, I couldn't reply to Graham's previous message re Sky Europe.
Sky Europe were also flying to dubrovnik via bratislava last year. we used this route last september - london/bratislava, bratislava/dubrovnik.
the flights were linked fine on the way over - both legs could be done on the same day. but, on the way back, we could not get back to london on the same day. (I haven't checked their schedules for next year, so I don't know if the same thing applies) So - we travelled up to Bratislava on the Saturday, and stayed in the IBIS (which is very close to the town centre, and very clean and modern) until we could get flights back to London on the Monday. The short taxi fare from the airport to the hotel works out about £7, from the hotel back to the airport about £5. (This is because when you flag a taxi, like we did at the airport, it's more expensive)
This was indeed an added bonus - I would recommend Bratislava to anyone, the town centre is very charming, and the food and drink is cheap. No cars are allowed in the city centre, the streets are cobbled. Not that it could match Dubrovnik, but it really is very nice as an add-in.
PS - British airways are flying London/Dubrovnik next year direct - you can get a return for £109.00 - we have already booked twice with them for April and September.

Thanks Jo this is very useful info. Bratislava is a "MUST" on my list what to visit in 2004.
