Just a little something about myself: My name is Kelly L. I live in Frederick, Maryland. Since my fiancee is from Zagreb, Croatia I decided to spend my vacation in Croatia. This was between June 21 and July 7th. While for the most part I can say you have such gorgeous country ( Plitvice Lakes, Krka waterfalls, Split, Makarska, Dubrovnik, Neretva delta, Brijuni), it looks like you have customer satisfaction problem there though. And this was shown in only one occasion. Namely we took a tour from Hvar to Dubrovnik. It was a nice trip with very caring guides, but then happened something that made me think, how much are those personnel members enthusiastic about their job. Description of event: I purchased a painting on Fortress walls of Dubrovnik and despite all warnings from my fiancee I forgot it as we disembarked from the boat in Starigrad. We then boarded a bus which was gonna take us to town of Hvar. We just exited the town of Starigrad and I noticed missing painting. We reported it to the guide which immediately called someone on ship.
They confirmed they found it. The guide told us we could pick it up next day in Atlas main office in Hvar. Needless to say we never got that painting. We checked three times with the office before we left. All we found were excuses. Then finally they told us to check with the office in Split. When we arrived in Split, office was closed and appeared very poor in presentation. When we finally found an employee he let us know painting would be hard to find. We left for Zagreb, relly upset about the whole treatment. The painting is just not worth all this embarassment.
When my fiancee called Hvar office again they said painting couldn't be found. My fiancee insisted the painting was stolen which they denied. All I am saying is that country is too gorgeous to have such lousy customer service. I can say that ordinary Croatians are very welcoming and friendly people. I will always come back because of such nice country, that's why it hurts to see ignorant enterprises like Atlas.
