From June 15th, Croatian Railways are introducing first (of 6) fast, tilting train on the Zagreb - Split route.
The trains are being built by a Canadian company Bombardier in Germany and will reduce the travelling time between the two largest CRO cities to under 5 hours (there will be also trains to Sibenik and Zadar).
The one way 2nd class ticket will cost 170 kunas (about 16 pounds/ 30 dollars) and the first class will be only 220 kunas.
Travellers will get a free airplane style meal and soft drinks. Cheers! Can't wait for this service to start!

This is just great news if you're in a rush! Call me an old timer but i still prefer using the sleeper from Zagreb to Split, much more civilised :-)
