Does anyone have any info if whether holiday companies/charter flights will be offered to Zadar soon. This large area of the coast keeps missing out. Plus connections through Zagreb are dreadful.

There were rumors that Ryanair will fly to Pula, Zadar, Osijek and even Brac but I think Croatian government did not accept their offer..

They'd be no danger of Croatian government letting Ryanair fly as they have a state owned monopoly airline to prop up and protect.

would you rather the Croatian government subsidise Ryanair? How do you think that those companies risking their money by operating charters such as Holiday Options and Hidden Croatia feel about state aid to a company like Ryanair. There would be a much greater chance of Easyjet flying into Croatia as they are not a 'third' country airline as Ryanair would be if flying from the UK to Croatia.
If you look at the loading factors that low cost airlines need to work on, about 85% to break, even there is no chance of any of them trying to maintain a year round regular service. Ryanair are cutting routes at the moment and when they say that they want to reschedule delivery of the aircraft they have on order you will see that the world of 'low cost' airlines is not as bright and rosey as made out. Even BA manage to sell some seats cheaper than Ryanair!
