Hotel Bellevue Problems

Dear Webmaster,

I think you should delete Hotel Bellevue Split from your list of recommended hotels in Split. I have tried to book accommodation by faxing them 4 times, telephoning them and even speaking to them. Their web site does not work, and they have never replied to my request for confirmation of booking. All they have sent me (twice) is a note on my fax stating that they have a room available typed in what appeared to be a 1950's typewriter.

I have also heard from friend in Split that the hotel is in a very poor condition and is about to be purchased and refurbished by new owners, since being used as a transit stop for Bosnian refugees a few years ago.

I have now booked alternative accommodation in Split

I have run into the same problem. It looks great on the web site ... close to city center and all but they never returned by e-mail for confirmation of booking. Any suggestions as to affordable accomodations in Split?
