Well to both mambo and david, neither of you will reveal on here who you really are. You may be prepared to do it privately to someone you come to trust through this board, but to have genuine credibility you must say who you are and what your motives are. Its a bit like saying I am President of a country, with no political party and no political allegiance but I can say what I want and influence what I want. I could log in as whomever I wanted and reveal nothing to anyone, as long as I do not flout the rules set out when I log in, I will not be banned. What is the point of that? What help is that to anyone. Janskov is the one with the guts not you two, you, as he says merely use the board to vent your frustrations. Both Zagreb and Istria have something offer if you start off with the right frame of mind! This is my personal view but why would anyone believe what I say if they don't know why I say it. What a crock of chite, I am very open who I am, I don't own a company so I have no website to put up. My only frustration is my football team. Janskov is just one of many foreigners who is taking from Croatia without giving anything back.

If his company is sending tourists to Croatia, then he is giving something to Croatia. Do you think it would be better if he sent tourists to the Bahamas? Some Croatians want tourist to come, don't you realise that?

Thank you Anna for a well written answer and thank you for understanding what I intended to say. It is a comfort to know that you are in charge – if not in 100% control.
And to those who has done a thorough analysis of my intentions and motives in the typical Croatian way: The day I can take money out of Croatia will be when pigs can fly.

What is that supposed to mean? The typical Croatian way? How would you know how Croats react?

Well David, we should give him some credit. If he does business here, and it looks like he does, then he would know how Croatians deal with things by now. Not that I agree with his origianl post at all though. As for guest, well he/she is just proving their own point by not offering any information about themself. There is absolutely no reason why everyone who posts here should state exactly who they are and what they do, so any tom dikc or harry who happens to come across this site can find out all about it's users. The internet is full of wierdos with a bad attitude, a couple of them used to post on this site. God forbid that any of them could go to our websites, know what we do, call us on the telephone, or send us an email if they decided they didn't like our opinions. Sure, if you like you can advertise your business on here by putting up your web address, but if you don't want to, then that's your choice, and of course not everyone has a website. Why don't you, 'guest' post your website, occupation, name, email address, so we all know who you are? Sometimes I'm curious as to what other people do on this site, so I send them a private message and ask. It's not that hard, and every time I've done it, they tell me. What's the big deal?

the big deal is that you make big statements about Croatia, when really you could be a weirdo! If I sent you a PM and you replied, I would use it against you next time you posted a grand opinion about something I disagreed with.

Gav, it doesn't seem to me like he does business here in the true sense of the world, and his claim that he has money here is strange. He is a travel agent based in Denmark, I don't know the law but I hope he has to deal with some local company so Croatia makes some money. It seems to me that a lot of companies are bringing foreigners here and paying no tax in Croatia.

You're not a weirdo, by saying that you are you are showing the control needed for self appraisal. True weirdos never admit that they are wrong or that something is wrong with them. They are the normal ones and it is those around them or society that is a danger to them.

different guests, i think if you read a bit more carefully, you will find that david hasn't really posted anything so distressing that he should be banned. also, most of the registered posters have reveled quite a lot about themselves - maybe not in their profiles, but in different posts. of course, in the cyber world nothing can guarantee that things are the way they are presented, but posting unlogged under different names and commenting on other posters and their posts is so out of place. if those posters are a part of this little community, why don't they use their registered name? if they're not, what do they care what's going on here? i appreciate the opinions of janskov, it's certainly one way of looking at thinks, but as many others have said, he doesn't have to read all the threads. and i think anna is doing a good job, she moves threads that appear at wrong boards, so those interested strictly in information on traveling and property really don't have to bother going through topics they're not interested in. and i do appreciate that janskov used his registered name also, i think most of the readers do get the info they're looking for, so the original purpose of this board is kept. live and let live

where in the world does that actually happen, "live and let live"? Certainly not in a James Bond movie. Here i was thinking that jean paul was long since dead and buried, and you pop up on a visit croatia forum. I'll be a monkeys'........ Having once been a champion kayaker, I can tell you that even those that row, can rock the boat ! if they like.
