My partner and I have purchased a house in Croatia (near Varazdin) and want to learn the language. We have completed the basic language course on the Let's Talk interactive CD but they don't do a follow up.
What we really need is a Croat teacher who lives in Norfolk.
Any takers ?
Also, we usually fly in Graz (via Ryanair, because it's cheap) and hire a car but we believe there are buses and trains to Varazdin from Graz. Where do we find them, when do they run, and how much do they cost ? Any info gratefully received ! You can contact me directly on andre@stationeryselect.com.

There is an bus service between Graz Hauptbahnhof and Varazdin (every day except Sundays). It departs Graz at 4pm and arrives at 7.10pm. It also stops in some places close to Varazdin if this more suitable for you. The fare is about 10 Euros (one way). See the timetable on the Varazdin Bus Terminal website: www.ap.hr/?URL=empromet-gra.html&L=e.

Getting a Croatian teacher in the UK is v difficult. There is a school in UCL that runs courses (the only one I could find in London), but I don't think it'll be easy to find one in Norfolk.

The University of Westminster does Croatian classes (that's where I am learning) but I too would be surprised if you find organised classes nearer than London.

I am not sure how long your stay is in Varazdin, but I know a women that would be a great tutor. She is proficient in english/italian/croatian.
