Hi,
I'm looking at purchasing a property in Croatia, I'm looking at it both from a holiday home and an investment perspective. I've been to Dubrovnik before but the price of property there is out of my range , so I've been doing some research on the Island of Brac which seems to have more property available in my price range ( < 100K euro).
Does anyone have any opinions on Brac? Would it be a good long term investment? Also , what sort of rental return could I expect from the property?

In the Classified section, someone is selling 2 bedroom apartment on Brac (Sutivan).
P.S. Brac is perfect, very close to Split, but still underdeveloped.

My parents bought a home in Sutivan, Brac about 2 years ago. The value has already gone up about 25%.
There a quite a few foreigners who have bought home in Sutivan. (Canadians, Americans, Germans etc)
They rent rooms for about 35-40 Euros and apartments for about 50-60 Euros. But their busy season is only July and August.

I've just been there. The island is beautiful. I viewed a few properties in Supetar right on the harbour where the ferry docks. If you need help, the agent I used, (recommended to me by a friend of mine who has already bought in Brac) is Boris Sucur, his e-mail is boris.sucur@st.htnet.hr His office is in Supetar & he deals with the whole island of Brac. We have a huge interest for Brac and after Dubrovnik it is the most popular area for buyers. Because of Croatian Land Registry mess we have the greatest interest for newly built and off plan apartments.
