UK mortgages for Croatian property?

My wife and I are loking to buy a 2-bed house on either Vis, Brac or Solna, but short of remortgaging our UK property to the hilt and using the equity, we're finding it hard to find a UK based mortgage lender to take out a second loan to pay for half the property price (t'other half being aforementioned equity). We don't wish to pay 9% over 10 years for a Croatian based deal, but...

Does anyone here know of a UK based BS, bank or orgnanisation that offers such a service - or is buying outright the only other option?
