Today I saw a house that I immediately fell in love with. I must admit I never saw something like this unless it was in movies. The whole house is made of wood and it is very unusually architectured. It has 11 bedrooms ( with 30 beds) but only one toilet and outside showers. The guests are expected from May to October. The area is some kind of the nature-protected resort, famous for the climate that helps asthma sufferers. The beaches are long and sandy. The problem is: this house is in Montenegro, almost on Albanian border. Price is quite good but I did not plan to buy a house and even never dreamed of buying in Montenegro, and on the top of everything 'a wooden house'.. I went there only once when I was a child.. I will of course thin about it, it is really unusual, like some kind of a camp home, but would this be a good investment? this is how it looks like: www.thisiscroatia.com/vila1.jpg and this is inside: www.thisiscroatia.com/vila3.jpg

Many thanks Robert! It is not in Ada Bojana, it is around Bar. I think the house was architectured by a Swedish architect, therefore the 'unusual style' I was thinking about the ferry Ancona-Bar which makes it interesting. Now I read about a huge number of Albanian population moving into the area.. and some kind of tensions between the locals and the new comers.. Do you think this would be a potentional problem if I buy it and want to sell it in future?

Hey guys, it is not fair that you promote Montenegro on this CRO forum!

Sorry I just did not know where to ask and thought someone here would know. Anyway, it is not promoting at all!

Anja,
Sorry but as soon as I read "almost on Albanian border" I presumed it was near Ulcinj, where Ada Bojana is. Only, Bar is not near Albanian border, unless you consider the whole of Montenegro to be defined as such. By the way, Albanian Adriatic coast, unlike Croatian or Montenegrin, is full of beautiful sandy beaches and it could be the real ‘next big thing’. Only not very soon.
I am also bemused why would you apologise for mentioning other Mediterranean countries on this forum to obvious joker Sasha?
(Sasha, you are joking, aren’t you?)
Robert
