We received several emails asking us to explain the situation that is going on here.
We were a little bit put out with Peter's attitude: we helped to start his website, giving him free advertising; we gave him his company's Internet-friendly name. As we have considerable costs in running this website, we could no longer allow companies to advertise for free although, at the same time, our charges are very modest. Peter felt that he did not have to contribute anything, although he claimed that his business was thriving. We are surprised that he did not benefit at all from our website (we've not had the same comment from any other advertisers!), as in the past all messages that he posted on our board advertised his website. (And, according to Internet experts, this is the best form of advertising.) We asked him not to do so, but he still carried on.
We'd like to close the matter, and wish Peter and his business well.
