Hi guys, I'm travelling to Split for July/Aug in search of property in or around the climbing areas of Croatia. I have a budget of 80000Euros and would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks Seth

You should look for property in Gorski Kotar (just above Rijeka, which is about 40 minutes away by car, Delnice and Ogulin are the main towns). Absolutelty lovely area and property ia very cheap.

I agree Mirko. I only wish people would realise that there is more to Croatia than the tourist areas of the coastal regions. The mountains of Velebit are great for rock climbing as well, have a look around the Gospic area if you want something a little different.

Hi Seth, Area around Omis is also very beautifull and interesting (climbing, rafting etc.) and very cheap. I'm not sure for translation but in Croatian area is called Dalmatinska Zagora. Some people are renovating old stone houses and they look excellent. One thumb up for you
