Thanbks to those who posted answers to my question re the Islands of Croatia. Trevor you mentioned Vis-can you describe the Island for me...I'd rather here a descrition from tourself than read from the internet or book!! Thanks.
Also I have spottede an interesting property on Vir-Is anyone familiar with Vir? whats it like? Thanks all.

I never been there.... but my cousin is doing a tour there and some other islands. From what I know it is beautiful. Like many islands on the Adriatic, this one is the outmost of all. You can find more info at www.dalmatianet.com/%5Fdestination/vis/

I found Vis very expensive because there is only two ferry's a day it's a captured market, all along the Dalmatia coast fish was priced at 250 kuna a kilo on Vis with a lot of fisherman was charging 400 kuna a kilo. Because it is such a small island the choice is limited so I guess they feel they can charge what they want.

This is not really for the Property Section, but I think you should get your statistics right - fish price is about 30 to 80 kunas per kilo in Dalmatia, with some exceptional catch going up to 150. I buy in Jelsa, Hvar and Split, probably representative enough a selection of markets to report here.
