Price per square metre to build - Dalmatia

Can anyone advise what building costs are per square metre in Dalmatia. Particularly interested in Hvar.

Any builders/architects in particular you can recommend on Hvar?

To clarify considering building a villa from 300 to 500 sq metres.

Not to sure on the islands, but on the mainland it will cost between 650 Euros and 900 Euros per square metre for a fully finished house. I would expect the islands to be similar, but it could depend on availability of Builders and the style / finish you require. Geri,

There is I believe 13 courses at planning stage at the moment, 7 of which are in Istria.

They cost alot pf money to develop so will require substantial investment.

There is one being built in Motovun, and Konavle Valley near Dubrovnik Airport is another I've heard of being mentioned.

It's hard to get information !

I was quoted 450 Euro per sq metre when I was looking into this at the start of this year. Could I ask where your figures come from?

You mention your company are property consultants - is this a UK firm who takes on work in Croatia or are you Croatian spets? Just out of interest, are you only consultants or do you take on contracts and subcontract the installation / construction side?

I don't mean to sound nosy but your figures are out of kilter with my expectations and I'm interested in your credentials.

I not been quoted 450 per sq/m since last year. 650 seems to be the average now throughout Croatia for a finished property. If you've been quoted 450 and it includes all fittings and your happy with the quality of the builder then I would proceed.
