What facts do we have for the new MarinaMarco development on Korcula? www.croatiansun.com/eng/marina.htmDo the Adriatic Development Corporation have history? If so what? CroatianSun estate agents based in Dubrovnik and Split - is this a reputable established estate agency with a good track record ? I look forward to hearing the facts you know of. Thank you, John

If they are associated with FPD Savills of London, I would think that they are very reputable!

From 247k euro's for 80 m2 ? More like 45% overpriced. The rental season is short on Korcula July and August. The forcast for rent is very ambitous, High standard places on the Island and a lot closer to the main town Korcula cost a lot less to rent . What are the management charges when the guaranteed income is finished ? I think they are on a win win situation with the guaranteed income included in the price! Is the scheme bonded to any bank ,just incase it goes under during development , as what happened in Bulgaria recently ! Beware of big promises Bob

Press release re this development on FPD Savills press office webpages on their website.
No info found on the net at least on Adriatic Development Corporation.
No link found as yet with Crowne Plaza Hotels group but that may just be because they are not yet marketing their involvement.
Alledged article in The Time re this development. No details when.
Regards
Mark

It seems that CroatianSun are dealing with Mr Kheller.
Thank you telling me of your experience.
Signs are up near Brna visible to the road announcing the new development.
Thanks
John

This decelopment has been discussed extensively elsewhere and those in the know are very suspicious of the promises being made. You need to get the facts and make your own judgement. My only comment is to say that you would be lucky to get more than 8 weeks rental per year in this area and that you should be very cautious.

Of a number of questions which has not been asked before is do we have any facts on the developers, Adriatic Development Corporation?
The marketing of this development seems extensive via the estate agents but lacking as far as the developers. I suspect this trading name is new or new corporate complete. Anyone clarify ? (Company reg no. will be fine)
Thanks once again.
Best regards, John.

John, if you ask the developers you might get some answers, but I doubt you will find who the actual owners are and what financial backing they have. There was a rumour doing the rounds that on of the developments on Korcula was backed by a comnpany based in Monaco, but I can not remember if it was this one.
If you register I will send you an email or IM as to what I know and who might be able to help you.

It was not my intention at all. What I wanted to say is - I can see you are quite interested in this development - but IMO the most important thing should not be who you are buying from. Property busines has developed well in Croatia in recent years. I do not think development like this would be a fraud.. More important thing you need to concentrate on is: how much profit you would make by renting the property in this area compared to the amount you are investing.

I traveled to Korcula, in fact saw where Marina Marko should be built. There is advertisement board and I took a picture of it. The contact on it is Nick Separovic (61) (0) 413 315 315 nick@babina.com.au Hope that helps.
