Have bought a property in euros ,signd a pre contract and put down deposit in euro.
Now im being told that when the balance is paid, although price is in euro? my euro will be converted to local currency to complete the deal. Then i will have to pay the buyers costs to transfer back into euros???
Can this be right that i have to pay to convert to kunas and then back again ?

yes happened to me.
They insisted on cash in Euros. So I got the best deal with Moneycorp. Went through all the hoops to get the money there on time. Then had loads of hassle withdrawing the Euros from the bank. When I paid the estate agen the agreed cash Euro price they charged me an extra £800 this was the fee to convert back to Kuna. Crazy. And if you tell them to run and jump they will simpley say the deal is off and you can lose your deposit.

It's just not necesary. If your deposit was accepted in Euro no reason your balance shouldn't be the same way. Anything else is just total stupidity. Hard aint it. Worrying. On th other hand these 'costs' are small. Or should be.

All transfer through buying proces must be in Kuna. But every owner is asking price in Euro, and they negotiate in Euro. It is normal proces to send Euro-convert to kuna-send to owners accaunt in kuna-convert to Euro. All this proces must be done in one day, and in that case you can get from bank a better course, and you lose minimal money. If you need help leave you mail adress!
