Hello,
I have the opportunity to purchase a newly built apartment in Novigrad. I normally holiday in Dalmatia so don’t really know much about the area. I would be most grateful of an advice or opinions on the area. The purchase is predominantly for me but if I can make a little rental money in the summer months then that would be nice.
Thanks in advance Paul

:DWe own an apartment in Novigrad. The area is wonderfull. Not far from the Italian airport in Trieste, less than 2hrs from Stanstead with Ryanair. Beautiful old town with small marina/harbour but new complex planned. People friendly & honest. Just heaven compared to rat race/rip off UK!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are visiting the area next month and were going to look at Rovinj, Porec and Novigrad. Glad to hear such good things about Novigrad.
Mel, since you have successfully purchased a property in the area, could you kindly recommend any agents/lawyers. We would prefer to deal with someone who has a successful track record in selling 'clean' properties to foreigners, particularly in view of the fact that there seems to be a lot of 'dodgy' agents there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Novigrad sure is a nice place If you have family, If you're retired and seek only for relaxing holiday. So your future customers to whom you'll rent the place would be in those cathegories. Don't rent the place to young people, they'll hate you for a very long time.
Also, new apparments that are being built aren't exactly (most of them) in town, as it is a very small town. Prices today pre sqm are way 2 high IMO, and I fear that building more and more will destroy that little town's charm that it has today.
But, If you have an opportunity, having a place on coast can in no way be considered a bad thing
