Are you doing a "new Build" or a "renovation"?
What do you mean by "high spec"?
Built rates can vary from 500 Euros p/sq m to 900 Euros per sq/m
New builds tend to work out cheaper per sq/m for a finished house and you should budget roughly 500 to 700 Euros per sq/m.
Renovation, especially if it is extensive or an old stone house, budget 650 to 900 Euros per sq/m.
These prices are based on a complete build - so bathrooms, tiles, plumbing, electric etc all completed. If you want the gold taps, spas, under floor heating etc work on the higher figures and as with any build add another 20% to cover the "unexpected"
Good luck, Karl

You have to make sure the developer is local for the area otherwise if it is someone new to the area who needs to travel/pay acommodation etc.. this will increase costs.
I am in process of buying a villa in Brac that needs renovation and building of a swimming pool. The costs of renovation are around 600 EURO/m2 (material provided by the developer)

Please please can someone tell me how much my Istrian stone wall is going to cost. I've agreed to share the cost with my neighbour and although I trust him (!!), I am paying his builder and I would like to check his price! Just need a rough guide for 1.5m high wall (Alsdoubles - much as I would love to build it myself, not sure my boss would pay my expenses!)
