We have made an offer on a house, and I would like to get a structural survey done. When I asked the agent, she talked about a "court surveyor" who would give us a costing of what needs to be done in the house. Would this court surveyor be the same as getting a survey done in the UK or Ireland?
I don't really want an estimate of renovation costs just yet. What I really need to know is if the roof is about to fall in, or if the plumbing is falling apart. Is this what the court surveyor does?

Yes there is, but I do not have the details to hand at present. Drop me a mail or post your details and I will get them over to you this evening.

I'm a co-purchaser of the property (with Nervous Nelly), really what we need right now is a structural survey to ensure the property is sound.
The people we are communicating with think we are looking to get a work estimate....
What is the croatian phrase for 'Structural Survey'?
