Can anybody give me information on the new "temporary" legislation forbidding any new building 1,000meters from the sea. When will they lift it? & will there be any consequences?.
If you purchase land "already zoned for building" within these distance of 1,000 are you at risk of being refused planning permission?
Thanks
Yvonne

I think that the new building laws took effect from the beginning of August 2004. Basically if you didnt get approval granted before that date, then the new laws take effect.

Everyone appears to be confused. I know of one Croat who has a house by the sea, with papers, that is also under threat. The rules are vague. Way too vague. If there are any rules at all.

Let me tell you whats going to happen.
Now that the law has been introduced a lot of people will start selling the land for peanuts. Then the laws will change as all the govenrment employees have bought this land and sell it for 100 * its value.
If you have land there keep it
