Anna, you may want to set up a separate site on Croatian DIY just for me! Can anyone advise if there is anything different about wiring a light fitting on CRO ie wire colours etc?

From memory the European standard is to switch both live and neutral with twin pole swithches rather than the UK system of only single pole switches. Its a while since I worked in Europe, but I seem to remember that the electicians I was with said the European system was safer and did not cause problems with reversed polarity as the UK system can.
