Hi there,
I spend part of my time living with my Croatian fiancee in Zagreb (she rents an appartment), and the rest in England where I have my own business.
I do not currently own a property, and I'm looking to buy my first home with my fiancee in Zagreb, hopefully fairly near the centre, and we would base out of there (my business can be run from anywhere with a telephone and an airport nearby).
My question is how to finance it. I'm hoping that I might be able to raise about 75,000 euros privately, but what sort of Appartment would that get us?
If it wouldn't get us much (I would hope for about a 60m appartment near the centre), would a British bank give me a mortgage for it?
I am not a Croatian resident, and have no great desire to be one - my work involves so much travel that I will never be in Croatia for more than 3 or 4 weeks at a time.
Would the property need to be bought in my fiancees name?
Many thanks in advance for any advice you are able to give.

For customers who buy properties through us we are able to arrange a mortgage through banks in Croatia.
This is if you buy a property through a Croatian company way.
This loan can be arranged only if your bank in UK is able to assess you and you have a guarantee from your bank that your credit rating is acceptable and you are in financial position to pay for this loan.

Hi Leo, I think it is very clear in my signature who we are. I am unable to advertise this offer and all the details on my website untill I have sole distributor rights for UK and Ireland --- and this is in progress. Best Wishes, Anya

Higly unlikely that you will be able to buy any property in Zagreb for 75,000 Euros. The lowest price foe a sq meter is over 2,000 Euros.
