I can recommend 'me'. Me, me and only me. But I am not an agent. But I do know of properties. But not in Pula. Freezing up there. Freezing down here in Sibenik, a bit. Well not really. More freezing in Pula. No spring or autumn, just a switch that goes off around NOW! What do you want to buy? Do you want to be ripped off or get a good deal. I can do both. It's dead easy...ish! It'll cost you. But not a lot.

My husband & I have just been to Croatia at the begining of the month looking at property. A real estate agent was recommended to be by a friend who bought in Brac island last year. His name is Boris Sucur, his e-mail is boris.sucur@st.htnet.hr He works for himself & concentrates on Brac island properties. After dealing with him, I can highly recommend him to you. Good luck, 'hope you find what you're looking for, Moya.

You could also try Tom Waddington at Pioneer Properties in Supertar, Brac, www.prioneerpropertiescroatia.com. He is brilliant, hard working, has lots on his books and speaks Croatian, quite a novelty for an Englishman out there! Also Rupert Dawney in Hvar www.balustrade-estates.net. He is married to a Croatian and is really more of a house finder but also knows his way around all of the rules and regulations and will hold ones hand through all the complications of buying in Croatia. Both these guys are really charming, helpful and easy to get on with. Scotty

Croatian agents are better! There's a huge number of foreign people who have come to Croatia to make some money and will undertake all means necessary to achieve this. However, their chances are slim.

Trust no-one. They're all amateurs and couldn't lie straight in bed. They know nothing about anything, only about ripping outsiders off with stupid commissions for everything. Believe me, they know NOTHING. But, they know how to have your trousers down. Find someone who's done it.....From your own world. But, I am here, and I have done it, and no-one wants to know...so you're on your own. The offer is withdrawn, totally. What do I care? Walk my road and then come back, right?

But, why take a trip back in time to make money. Why suffer it. Well, some of it. How long do you have? How long will it take? Hats off to anyone (aliens), who can make money out of Croatia. It all depends on who you are are what you want. The most over used Croatian word in Croatia is..'polako' slowly. It means all kinds of things, depending on the situation. Just as does the word zenna, wife, woman....no difference. Can you get your head round that? It's a Croatian mind set. There are no finer points. Thin k about it. No finer points.

Where did you get so big experince? Maybe from clock selling! How many properties did you buy? How many properties did you visit? And how many agents did you meat? How many laywers did you meat? I think you are very bored, and you are loosing time in this forum, and you think you are very important to you, and other people! And who are amateurs? How can you judge if you havent met those people? Alsdoubles you are a layer, you have some interest, or you are a very negative person! If you are ready to garantie with some money words which you wrote, and if webmaster of this site is ready to leave us, I'm ready to have open forum with you to teach you many things!

Croatia... Adriatic,,, Island life... mediterranean sun.... history... When I have more money to invest or just spend...I will do the things I want to do in Croatia. There is nothing better than creating, renovating , giving new life to an old building. Before you spend your hard earned money, ask yourself this question. Do you love creating something ? if you say yes...than it doesn't matter how much you end up spending, because it is all about the journey you must travel to satisfy your soul. Many other justifications may be attached ( like relaxation, heritage, the sun, nature, travel, chicks, investment, whatever ) ultimately is about you wanting to make something better. Whether it is a stone house, or box, or a castle or you own private island. Accept this first, and your journey will be started in the right path. Nickel and diming will not get you happiness. Any building task requires your full commitment, be prepared to sleep less sometimes, spend more sometimes, get frustrated sometimes, but at the end of the day is the process that counts, you will give it history from the start. " You get what you pay for". I love that land of my father. Enjoy... Gino

You are very "smart", but you didn't answer to any of my questions with facts! How many properties did you buy? How many properties did you visit? And how many agents did you meat? How many laywers did you meat?

Mery. You know abovery *friendly* personely nothing. NOTHING. How many properties did YOU buy? How many properties did YOU see? How many lawyers did YOU meet? You will have.... NO answers. Croatia is NOT THERE YET. Croatia is CRAP. There is NO investment here. And may NEVER EVER BE. And I've invested here. Buy a house....Okay. Try and sell it? You have NO CHANCE! None! You know it, I know it. Poeple who may think they can make money here. Well dream on. A 'Place in the Sun' is a UK program that spawns miseries. And they will never make a program out nof that. I know that for 100%. Get the ratings. B*llox to the victims. Itr's the way of the modern world. No-one really cares. We all seek a victim...(customer).

1. I'm not British, but can speak and write in three languages: English, Italian and German, and my mother tongue of course, and the least polite thing of you to do is try to write in proper English, so people can understand what you're saying (how many languages do you speak?) 2. I have purchased 12 properties here, and I have made money on each one of them or will do so in the future, but for everyone to be making money out of this, it's impossible to expect. 3. investing in Croatia is connected to the first question in this Forum, where the basic thing, that I have repeated many times, is that foreign real estate agents can not have the same insight in property market here as the locals can. 4. you obviously don't know anything about anything, trying to look clever and ''know-it-all'', but usually pick the wrong subject 5. if you're not able to sell the property you've bought here, there could only be two reasons: 1. your bad judgement in purchasing it and 2. your incompetence when it comes to selling it Advice: don't get involved in topics you know nothing about, if you don't know how to answer to a particular question, because you'll only be making a fool of yourself.
