Hi we spent three years looking, appeared on a TV program "i want that house" on ITV. We decided to buy the house we saw on the program. After a large solicitor bill and 8 months of liason we found that the house had never been for sale, the seller, a laywer never owned it. The agent another laywer, who was his friend and owner of a a so called respected agency had lied continually to us for 8 months aswell. We did eventually find out who the real owner was, a bank who auctioned the property off to a nieghbour. This news eventually caught them all out.
All pretty big accusations from us but the lies are there for all to see on the TV program.
Good news, we went back to the Home agency in Pula, who showed us a house for sale, that met all our needs and had cleaned papers. We are having it refurbished and will spend our first proper family holiday there this summer.

If you do live in Croatia you can get BBC Prime with a dish, and watch all this stuff, over 2/3/4/5 years old, every day. Over and over again. Because there is nothing else to do, in Croatia, but watch BBC World, Prime, Sky News...etc etc. Or sink yourself deep into the Croatian daily life. Which, I can report, is slightly dull. Real but dull. Suffering and wonderful, but eversoslightly, dull. No criticism intended. Everything I saw for sale here in Sibenik a year ago, and I saw one especially I would have loved to BUY, is still empty, (but the wife wouldn't), and is still for sale. This is slightly depressing. I would not dare buy a second property. I wish I had the faith that anything would be worth 1p more, (kuna, dollar. Euro) one year from now. NB. Did you EARN from the program? And if not, why did you do it?
