Hi,
Does anyone know a good Architect in the Zadar / Sibenik area or close by? Must speak excellent English and have experience of building holiday homes for foreigners.
It's a small project, a holiday home over three floors.
Please post a follow up or mail me if you have anyone I should consider. Thanks,
Chris

D'you reckon they have architects there. Have you seen them, the new towns? The expansion. Shocking! Wants bombing, that's what a young Croat told me. Especially as they have been, not so long ago. But, the new towns want rubbing out and redrawing. Maybe one day they will, do that.

Chris, I'd let this pass me by, sorry, but I'm meeting with the guy who did some work for us and I'll grab his new email address. And Als, come on, the old part of Sibenik is as fine a place as any. Zadar is a great town with the centrepiece a good Irish contribution (Sv. Donat). It's so not good to drop these two towns in it, rather remove Dubrovnik and it's foreign roof tiles

Hi ChrisC: My name is Jose, I've married a czech woman and we're living in Prague. Both of us are architects, we have our atelier of architecture. You can take a look at www.salsaverde.cz/PAZprojekty.html here we have our work and some realizations projects. I'm from Acapulco, Mexico a big tourist city center and I can say that I'm able to understand what you need to offer to your clients and my wife as a central european citizen can imaging what a building such as you need have to have for a comfortable vacations. Looking forward to know what you are thinking about. Take a good care of you. Jose Luis Paz

Jose Luis Paz Jose, Thanks for answering and I am sure you have lots to offer but actually I am looking for an Architect based locally to my plot. An important part of the role of the Architect on the project will be to manage the works and make regular visits to site and I do not think this is feasible if the Architect is based in Prague. Thanks again.

Chris, Should you need a mason builder, I am happy to refer you to mine. He is finishing up a renovation job for me, and works for my relatives in Dalmacia, Zadar area. My wife and I are both architects, and one thing is true: "Builder is key".... you can have all the lawyers and accountants, but a good honest builder is key. Good luck and fun times with your new project. Gino.
