I am thinking of buying an apartment on Ciovo. Does anyone have any idea on resale values , say in three years time. Is there a market for these properties.? Anyones comments would be appreciated.

Ciovo is very crowdy and mostly solved by locals (from Split and Trogir) to people from Bosnia. Not the best choice, if you ask me.

I'd agree with Girl from Zagreb...Ciovo is starting to look like it will become a real Costa del XXX the way it is going.
Trogir is so nice, but is going to suffer with all the mass development nearby.
Scooter City !

(I posted my question as @flyguard@ as I'd forgotten my username!) and I'm grateful for you comments. However, the real question is , is an apartment likely to go up or down in value on Ciovo? I must confess I was there over Easter staying at Villa Liza and really enjoyed it. The closeness to the airport is a big plus.

I don't know is the honest answer.
If appartments are going to be built willy nilly on every patch of land, and shows no sign of stopping...will supply outstrip demand? ..... Will people want to buy there in Ciovo?
Why not go over in July and have a look .... get a better picture?

recently, apartments and houses on ciovo gained a lot in value. in my opinion you are at least 5 years late. i assume demand still will rise a bit until 2008 or so, but there is not much left as some apartments are already overpriced even compared with properties on the baleares.
maybe apartments nearer than 50metres to the shore are an interesting investment....for anything else i don't see much prospect.
