Anyone got any recommendations for air conditioning systems, and approximate costs?

Air con units start from around 2000 kunas in Zagreb, and another 500 kunas to fit, but I would recommend you spend a little more to get a silent unit. Panasonic have very good units, a friend of mine in the Šibenik area has just had three panasonic units fitted for 11,000 kunas.

If you're looking for a place in Sibenik there's one down on the Riva, it's beside the bus station facing the ferry pier, they've got most brands including Panasonic and Haier, plus they install and service them.
