New Readers Beware. If any one of you are thinking of buying a property & employing a Croatian lawyer make sure he/she is not acting for the seller. I know of quite a few people who used a lawyer recommended by a well-known estate agent. The seller/builder decided to used this lawyer to "act" for him. There doesn't seem to be a rule prohibiting this from happening, a clear conflict of interest. This lawyer failed to disclose information which should be given to the buyers. The buyer and the seller should never share the same lawyer in the same development.
