Hi,
I'm in the first stages of buying a property in Pula. I've submitted an offer and and the vendor has come back with a slightly higher price. However, I want to convert the flat, which is five large bedrooms into two smaller units. The flat has it's own entrance and should convert reasonably well to two smaller units. In order to do this I guess I need planning consent? Has anyone done anything similar and what might be the main hurdles with permissions and building regulations? Would I need consent from the other flat owners - which are two - although it doesn't directly effect them.

if you split one dwelling into two then you need an etagiere so that legally they become two dwellings and can be sold seperately when you decide to sell.
