I have been advised that there may be problems for Muslims who want to move to Croatia . Is this correct?

Well any sort of problem , are there any mosques in Croatia. Would muslims be accepted as neighbours and friends with the local community??

Muslims wouldn't have any problems in Croatia. The current problem are only s.eads who target Romas and foreigners, usually of Asian and black origin, and possibly gay and Jewish people but I guess there is a problem with s.eads (which is imported to Croatia by new fashion/football fans trends) in whole Eastern/Central Europe

There is a beautiful mosque, plus community hall in Zagreb, one being build in Rijeka, some prayer halls etc.
Normal people in any country, including Croatia, do not judge people by what religion they are or how they look.

i suppose muslims are rather tolerated in croatia than in other countries of europe. however i would be patient when moving in the neighbourhood as following the war many croats moved from bosnia and hercegovina to croatia. some of them may have had bad experiences with muslims during the croat-muslim conflict during 1993-94.

Thanks for your reply dated 13/02/04. I suppose this would be natural that they would be concerned by Muslims.
