somebody has actually answered that a while ago. You should check the earlier threads. While we are on the subject of computers, are there are any decent shops there that sell lap-tops at reasonable prices

prodaja@pula.ve-mil.hr, Milan at Ve-mil great place 383-925. Their prices are very reasonable I think this is where the stores get their inventory. It is worth the drive to Pula. If he does not have it, he can get it!!! He found something I needed last summer that he didn't know about. . but he was willing to look for it for me. I highly recommend him.

I think ISDN is the only option at this time. Sign up at the post office.

We're on ISDN which is pretty much pointless, as you then, even with 3 phone numbers, cannot plug in a fax machine as these are analogue. ISDN is max 60 kbs, is more expensive per month, and make sure you're on the super small user rate. Broadband, so the telephone guys tell me, is on the way.. July, possibly. Then what? The ISDN phone will probably be redundant. It was the most expensive phone in the entire universe. Those are the breaks. You learn as you go.

ADSL is available in Croatia. It is not to expensive, about £15 for 384k k/sec line with half a gigabyte traffic a month. I install it about month a go and is working fine. For all info see www.htnet.hr/adsl/fset.html

They were doing trials of ADSL in some parts of Zagreb and were offering it throughout Zagreb from June 1st. Istria would be interesting as I'm there almost full time now.
