I am planning to employ a Croatian citizen.. What I am not sure is whether it would be better ( taxwise) to employ him/her through my Croatian company or through UK one?

From the employees point of view it would be better for them to be employeed in UK if they are travelling back and forth cos tax is lower. But remember that means they can only stay for 3 months at a time without leaving and coming back. Also, if they are going to be out of the UK for more than 1 year (except for 90 days, I think) then they can be considered non resident for tax purposes - yey!
But as for employer, I don't know.
