Hi all,
I am moving some furniture to Croatia and would like to know if there is any point in bringing my TV. Does anyone know if a UK TV will work in Croatia (ie do both countries use the same system)?
Many thanks and looking forward to meeting you out there!

No, you will see pictures in black and white only, but no sound. It is possible to modify the set, but the best thing is to buy a new one: Samsung sets are cheap (we paid £240 for 28'') and good and available almost eveywhere in Croatia. Sony sets a more expensive.

Anja, if you send me a message offline (jcampbell@accoladeproperty.com) letting me know what you need I would be happy to help.
The mover I use was recommended by friends in Hvar. He often does trips to Croatia to deliver aid and is very friendly. I will ask him if I can pass on his details.

It dispense on what type of TV you have. You need to be able to switch, I think it is called polarity, between A and B, this can usually be found at the back of the TV. I was looking to buy a TV in UK to tabe back and found that cheap TV would not work as it did not have this facility, but my Panasonic TV would work OK. You will find this information in your instruction manual. If you need more information, please let me know and I will talk to my husband. He would know exactly what it is called and where to find the button.
