I am trying to compile a list of how many Croatians live outside of Croatia.
Please help me with your country and both the estimated and actual population of Croatians.
Actual is official numbers either Census figures or other official government sources, estimates includes Croatians and their descendants. For actual figures if you could provide the source I would appreciate it.
Let me give you a few examples of estimated compared to actual.
Australia – Estimated (350,000) – Actual (51,860) New Zealand – Estimated (19,000) – Actual (2,502)
Census data gathering is not 100% either but is at least official, for example the Australian Census question was “Born in Croatia”, so this leaves out Bosnian Croatians and those people who marked (Yugoslavian)..
I have a lot of estimated figures, it’s the actual figures I am finding it difficult to find.
Thank you.
