90 BP per hour !!!! Holy S***, am I glad I don't live in the UK. Here they charge 400 Kuna/hour at the dealer and 100 Kuna/hour 'under the tree' as we call in in the Caribbean. I would like to see the breakdown of the 90 BP per hour. And I cannot say that I agree with your assessment of the road situation in Croatia. It will get better and only for one simple reason...........it can't get any worse ! No, I am just kidding, the new highway is in good shape, not a lot of cars or trucks during the winter time, so the toplayer does not get damaged. Hopefully they will be able to finish the extension to Rijeka in a reasonable period of time. We now have 2 lanes for approximately 50 km, which is not too bad in the wintertime, but during the summer..............it is a mess. Istria is a complete mess, too many deaths on the roads (at least 3 to 4 per week !) during the summer and that is something you cannot sell to tourists. I only hope that they will become a little bit educated and ban all bicycles and mopeds off the main roads in Istria. These roads are not made for slow traffic, should be prohibited, especially during the summer. They can come up with an alternative and build special bicycle paths for the tourists. Wonder how long it will take before they realize that.
