I have a question. Where's Cosrica ? I don't recognise that as a region of Croatia.

Makarska – don’t like it. Gets me a speeding ticket every time I pass through.

Onetotoen, U kidding or what ?! Makarska is a town situated between Split and Dubrovnik, and IMO one of the nicest places in Dalmatia. The scenery is dramatic - Biokovo mountain meets the sea. Absolutely gorgeous. Here are some pics: www.photocroatia.com/random/makarska.php

Makarska is constantly being one of the top resorts, according to polls by some CRO newspapers.

Makarska ?
Was there once in January (2005). Sun was shining, nice sitting on the terraces, quite comfortable I must say.
Also was impressed by the neat and organized market place for souvenirs, bars etc. Here in Istria you will find old junk (homemade selling places) amidst 40 year old polyester kiosks which does not give a positive impression to the tourists. In Makarska it was all good quality, very well maintained, perfectly done.
But at the same time I realized that during the summer it must be complete and utter chaos in that city. Parkings for cars don't exist, so traffic will be a disaster and when the place is so crowded that you have to fight your way to get somewhere it is no longer for me, I cannot find pleasure in that.
I assume that in May, June and September it will be more quiet and then it could be a nice destination.
