Recently I found out that Monopoly is having an 'open election' where the public votes on what cities they want to go on the World Edition game board. The top 20 most voted cities make it. This year, Zagreb is in the running. Check it out here: www.monopolyworldvote.com/en_US/worldYou can vote everyday. Click on Zagreb, and then add to my cities and then VOTE. They will ask you to make an account with them, but it's very brief. You don't even need to give your name; they just ask you to provide an email address and a password to make sure that there is no voting manipulation. Once registered, you need to confirm your email address in order for your votes to count. Before they hid the leader board, Zagreb was very close in the running. Out of 68 cities, Zagreb ranked 25, short of only 5 places to make the top 20. There is a SERIOUS chance for Zagreb to reach the first 20 of who will make up the new Monopoly board! There are only 5 days left to vote, so lets all get together and do this! Vote!

But would Zagreb be a Mayfair (many many millions of kuna) or Old Kent Road (not so many)? - how will they sort that out without creating "separatist" feelings. Any one voting for Pristina? What will be monetary unit for game, "earths?" I see Croatia not on drop down choice list but Srbija is - pretty good that has domacni scripts, but give up on China (english). Serious busuiness after 29th Feb!

The more votes a city gets, the more expensive it will be on the board. If Zagreb finishes with the most votes and is ranked #1, then it will hold the most expensive spot on the game board. Before they hid the leader board, the highest ranking city was Istanbul, Turkey and the 20th city on the board was Toronto, Canada. It's going to be a tough race!
The monetary unit...that's a good question!
Hansel, you need to confirm your email address within the next 72 hours. Check your email and click the link that monopoly has sent you.
The suspense is killing me, I can't wait to see how this will turn out! And yes, definite serious business after the 29th!
