Contact www.easycroatian.com based in London. The tutor will either give private lessons or group lessons. They also have intensive courses in Croatia in either Porec or Mali Losinj which are a great way of getting up to speed with the lingo.

I spent a year with Linda and her 'easycroatian' school and am happy to say it was the best way to start learning Croatian. Not cheap but very good. You'l learn the skills (grammar) you need to use the language because nobody can just "pick it up". For example, the word "dog" has six variations in Croatian, can you really learn six versions of every English word - just by picking it up?
It is tough and grammar (for most of us) is boring but, frankly, it's the only way.

If you want to work in a group, the University of Westminster runs a Serbian/Croatian evening course out of its Regent Street building. They usually have quite small groups, the teaching is good and entertaining, it gives scope for social events, there's a language laboratory if you have the time and the inclination to use it. And I think there are five or six levels, so you can go into whatever you feel comfortable with. And, yes, Serbian and Croatian are tough languages.
