I am looking to buy a solid wood furniture outdoor set, either ready-made, or by someone who will make them to order. Basically one large sqare table and 4 benches.
Does anyone also know where I can buy solid wood for making outdoor furniture? Perhaps if I can find the wood myself, it will be easier to get someone to make it for me.
I'm in Zagreb, but the store/supplier can be in ZG or close-by. Cheers

here's a site you can find all sorts of links to building related stuff www.gradimo.hr/www.furnir.hr has an excellent range of wood and fittings. bauhaus is a pretty good hardware store that sometimes has good deals on exotic wood table and bench tops. If the weather was good I'd put my hand up for making an outdoor setting but looks like all of june is a right off for me and my outdoor workshop. Shame as I need to make my own outdoor setting and another wooden sink. Does that place in V G have a website ? |

An update on this. I was recently at the big outdoor market by Getro in Novi Zagreb - the one that runs every Saturday. At that market were 2 vendors who produce EXCELLENT outdoor furniture at a fraction of the price you will find in Bauhaus, Pevec etc - and the quality is outstanding. For 3,500 HRK you can get a large table with 2 benches - they can make to order. One vendor has a website, when I dig up his card, I'll post it up. This is some of the nicest outdoor furniture I've seen and the price is unbelievable.
